Clear Product Roadmaps
Before Whizible™ -- Gary came up through the ranks at Zee Inc., and he now serves as CTO. He decided last year to begin graduate school courses for his master’s degree and recognized that road maps and product planning (best practices in other companies and industries) were sorely missing at Zee. Product features are added at the request of top salespersons, the CEO, and frequently the Chairman without thorough consideration of customer constituencies and their requirements or a cohesive product-line road map. So Zee keeps pace with competitors on the line-item level of features.
After Whizible™ -- During implementation of Whizible Initiatives, it’s customary to undergo a crystallization of internal roles and processes. Stakeholders submit enhancement ideas. Product managers gather requirements and schedule the implementation of features. Executive sponsors are able to approve the plan for each feature after seeing support from lower-level stakeholders and in an appropriate context.
